Education Alliance develop a program
to bring "Real Life Engineering
Experience" into the
classroom.
The purpose of "Engineering
Connections" is to develop Skills for the
21st Economy by bringing Engineering
Experiences into the classroom through
Lunch & Learn/Classroom
Connections, Staff Development and
Job Shadowing/Mentoring. The program was
conducted during the Guilford County Schools
2008-2009 year with 20 sessions; (18 Lunch &
Learn/Classroom Connections, one Staff
Development and one Job Shadowing pilot).
During 2009 Fall semester
20 Lunch & Learn/Classroom
Connections and one Staff Developmen
t
sessions were conducted. The 2010
Spring semester is now in progress
with six educational partners and
eight industry partners. A
